TYLER E. BREWSTER

Tyler E. Brewster is a New York City native - born and raised in the borough of Brooklyn. She began her career in education as a teacher at a small, 6th-12th grade school in Brooklyn, NY and is now co-founder of the Restorative Justice centered education consulting firm, Peer Connect. Peer Connect’s mission is to provide quality education and support around restorative practices, conflict resolution and culturally relevant pedagogy to schools and youth facing organizations. Their work is centered on supporting communities to deeply understand and connect with the indigenous history and principles of restorative practices, then think through the ways in which it can be purely and proactively implemented within their school community.

 
 

DANIELLE COOLEY

Danielle Cooley is a School Coach and Consultant for Peer Connect and a fierce advocate for children. She is a leader in the field of socio-emotional learning with extensive knowledge in utilizing data to inform practices and decisions directly impacting student growth and achievement. Danielle's experience working in schools as a teacher, Restorative Justice Coordinator and Assistant Principal in the New York City Department of Education provides her with a unique lens from which to support schools. In her previous roles, she has remained a leading example of how to form meaningful, supportive relationships with students. Currently, Danielle works with school leadership to develop staff and student capacity to build safe and strong communities rooted in equitable decision-making for all community members.

 
 

MAURICE BLACKMON

Maurice Blackmon is a School Coach and Consultant for Peer Connect. He spent a decade in NYC public schools as a Social Studies and English teacher, developing and teaching anti-racist, equity-based humanities and civics curricula. With an emphasis on Restorative Practices as a blueprint for building healthy school culture and climate, Maurice has collaborated with a number of community based organizations to enrich students’ education experience, including IntegrateNYC, Proud Educator Network, NYU Metro Center, and Peer Defense Project. Maurice is excited to be with Peer-Connect, an organization that has helped guide and support his work in schools for years.

 
 

STEPHANIE BLANCH

Stephanie Blanch is a School Coach and Consultant for Peer Connect with a Certificate in School District Leadership, a Master of Science in Education specializing in School Building Leadership, and another Master of Science in Education specializing in Urban Education. Stephanie's educational journey spans two decades, commencing in her Westside Chicago roots before her 2008 relocation to the Bronx. Throughout her career, Stephanie has assumed pivotal roles in education, including Special Education Teacher, Special Education Coordinator, Transition Coordinator, and Department Facilitator. In addition to her classroom contributions, she has been an active participant in the arts, educational committees, grant-writing initiatives, and community empowerment organizations. With a global perspective gained through international experiences and a passion for empowering individuals in the field, Stephanie is ardent about the recognition and reconciliation of Indigenous people’s contribution to collective “knowing”. She inspires and guides educational professionals to reach their full potential, dedicating herself to the empowerment of young folks and educators alike. Her focus lies in fostering inclusive learning environments and unveiling pathways to success for both youth and adult teams.
